I walked around Myer Doncaster yesterday.
I liked the Christmas offering - fresh interesting stock, clean spacious setting and engaged staff (hope that bit lasts the festive spending season).
There weren't a lot of people browsing and buying - it was a nice sunny day, why would they - but it didn't feel like the morgue it was two years ago.
Will the punters open their wallets?
As I keep saying, expectations are very low and MYR need only have a good enough Christmas to pay a reasonable dividend to defeat the shorts.
We shall see.
