yeah I used to own GOLD ETF ( unhedged, whereas QAU is currency hedged ),
but fortunately sold early this year.
Gold has been a poor performer this year and has been in a downtrend in US dollar terms
since 2012. not so bad in AUD.
I can't see any great hurry to get in.
