It's possible.....however the traditional indicator of a recession won't translate into a decline of living standards as it has in the past! We've never had negative interest rates so comparisons with previous recessions aren't valid. You say you've lived through a few.....see similar things to the 90's? Of course you don't?
You talk about the unemployment rate not being a reliable indicator.....you can't have it both ways!
