I've listened to detailed dissections of Clifford's testimony today and absolutely nothing of it was relevant to whether Trump miscoded a ledger entry to influence an election. Merchan said himself that the evidence should not have been admitted and admonished the defence for not objecting more vigourously.
What Merchan DID do was to guarantee that a guilty verdict would be overturned on appeal........eventually. But the only thing that matters is a/any guilty verdict before Nov. What happens after that no one gives a rat's.
The Weinstein verdict was set aside for a less egregious example of evidence being presented which should not be permitted under the law.
