"ADX has spoken to Mr Strachan and told him that his comments ranged from misleading to absolutely wrong.

When asked where his information came from, he said in his experience no news was bad news and he expected the worst.

That is definitely not a credible way to report on a company’s drilling results. Both the MD and the chairman were always available to discuss results within the limitations of what had been released to the ASX. Both were never contacted by Mr Strachan.

ADX told Mr Strachan that he should recognise when drilling wild cat wells it is inappropriate and irresponsible to make definitive comments on results until all the data had been analysed. In some cases only pressure measurements and testing provides a definitive result on producible hydrocarbons. While frustrating for shareholders it is better to delay reporting until all data had been analysed and report accurately than to mislead with premature analysis."
