I realised that, I also realise the multiplier effect of having more shares. I personally like 1M shares vs 100K shares too. However I have also been annoyed with companies with too big of a register. Example would be CAD. If you look at the depth at times, the buy vs sell ratio is 3:1, so you would naturally think there is higher demand to buy, but no sales occur, because there are 80M shares for sale. Buyers don't have the sense of urgency, since there is so much shares on offer. Another thing I noticed, with cheap shares under 1c, is that they seem to attract less experienced share holders(My opinion only). With these shares, you see some weird/unpredictable buying and selling. It feels more like gambling than investing. I think it would be a good idea for consolidation so that larger investors/institutions would take us more seriously.
