I'm down only a few thousand, fortunately. The Axiom nickel scam cost me an order of magnitude more than that.
BUT... warning to all... both were recommendations of the Port Phillip Publishing Company.
I subscribed to their impressive-reading "analyses" for a time and invested money I probably couldn't afford to lose
with complete faith in their recommendations. But, after a short time, I realised that EVERY stock I had bought
on the basis of their "expert analysis" was trading for less than I had paid for it, some of them a LOT less.
None of them ever recovered.
Moral of this story? Be very careful about whose advice you follow and ALWAYS DYOR.
Grunt.
