We will ALL be interested to read the outcome of your "discussions with old colleagues that know how to work with ASIC in these matters." But, I won't be holding my breath. After more than two years, and repeated complaints to ASIC, ASIC has done NOTHING; says there is nothing they CAN do. It's my expectation that, all your old colleagues' influence notwithstanding, ASIC will STILL be of no use, no help to us.
But nothing would please me more than to have to eat these words.
