Guinea: mining companies, banks ... summoned to suspend their activities

CONAKRY- It is an urgent appeal that the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC) has just launched to mining companies, banks, factories, fuel stations and other public and private companies. Opponents of the draft new constitution ask all of these entities to suspend all activity during the continuous demonstrations they start from January 13, in order to avoid any harmful incident. "Guineans and Guineans,

Now that Mr. Alpha CONDE has publicly expressed on December 19, 2019 his decision to carry out a constitutional coup with harmful consequences for Guinea and the Sub-Region, the FNDC calls for the mobilization of all Guineans to block to this macabre project of the enemies of our Country.

This is why the FNDC calls the Guineans to demonstrations from Monday January 13, 2020, both on the national territory and abroad.

Recalling the call by President Alpha CONDE March 24, 2019, asking his supporters to '' prepare for battle '' if the Democrats refused the debate on its draft 3 ^th order, the BDNF invites the People vigilance. He will make Mr. Alpha CONDE responsible for all violence against citizens and their property during these demonstrations whose sole purpose is to peacefully defend the Constitution of May 2010.

In order to prevent the risk of confrontations linked to public threats made by Mr. Alpha CONDE and his relatives, the FNDC:

• Calls the People of Guinea to mobilize massively and everywhere for great republican demonstrations to express its total opposition to the proposed 3 ^rd order, while remaining vigilant in order not to yield to possible provocations and intimidation;
• Strongly advises economic operators as well as companies established on Guinean territory, to refrain from any activity from January 13, 2020;
• Calls on all citizens with private or public rolling vehicles to exercise extreme caution in immobilizing them;
• In particular, requests mining companies, banks, factories, fuel sales stations and other public and private companies to suspend all activity during the demonstrations, in order to avoid any harmful incident;
• Calls workers and all trades to observe this patriotic call to avoid any regrettable risk.

The FNDC thanks the International Institutions and the Governments of friendly countries which warned Mr. Alpha CONDE against the risks of his dangerous project.

All FNDC members, civil society organizations, trade unions, political parties, women and youth movements, socio-professional organizations, artists' associations, students and pupils, committed citizens and others, are invited to start with this declaration, at mobilize and mobilize people for the success of demonstrations against the 3 ^rd Mandate.

The FNDC congratulates all its branches inside and outside the country for the work already accomplished in order to save the Fatherland. He invites them to close ranks around our ideal of democracy for even more mobilization and determination, until the final victory.

Depending on the evolution of the situation, specific instructions will be given for better coordination of our actions in Guinea and abroad.

May no one shrink from arrogance, intimidation and repression, the ultimate weapons of the impostors, who will quickly show their limits. It is only at this price that we will liberate our Country from the mafia clans, and prevent any attempt to confiscate our Democracy and our freedoms.

No Referendum! No 3 ^rd Mandate! No Constitutional Coup!
