Agree...apart from the crass stupidity of the in-fighting between BBC and PTN over the offer from LLC, someone is playing "silly buggers" with the SP's.
Just check the respective differences between PTN, BBC and FKP which is also in the retirement industry and is subject to some offerings itself.
As for the BBC/PTNB stoush there are a few things to think about in the recent correspondence.
PTN make two good points in their letter:
(1) Why should LLC get the management rights when it could be acquired by the company (internalised) as the returns are good?
(2) Why are LLC only transferring about half of their retirement assets to BBC? Have they held onto the good ones and sold the bad ones?
Equally, the BBC directors make some good points about PTN..specifically...have they got a robust business model?
Certainly the direction of the current prices would suggest that the PTN tilt is dead and buried.
LLC is the better offer...no question.
Final Comment: As I write BBC has hit a year low!
