bot trading generally does not mean ulterior motives. there is probably someone with a big parcel that needs to either buy or sell. not necessarily to maniupulate the price, but to keep transaction costs down.
the thing to get from these trades is that (a) there is someone that wants in/out of an exposure, and (b) whether the buys/sells are on the bid or offer, but making assumptions on that can be dangerous.
