comsec earnings estimate for end of this financial year vary from 1 cent to almost 13 cents!!! your PE of 60ish is calculated using the 2006 earnings of 5.2 cents.
who knows if those earnings forecasts include the dehedging or not? do they factor in a POG close to $700? they certainly dont factor in any takeover premium...
If the top end of the forecast range is reached the PE is only 25 by years end, and who knows what by end of 2008? higher POG, more gold, less costs...
People are buying in, so what does that tell you about which end of the forecast range they think is correct?
