    Pooled development funds are essentially venture capitalists. They make money by investing in small coy/ start ups and providing capital to grow them to the point where they can be sold/ split/ spun off.

    So lets say the whole printable mem/ battery takes off, they would look to spin off the coy along with the patents/products and gain funds by listing it on the ASX or selling a strategic stake. The profit gained could then be dispersed tax free to shareholders.

    Or they may provide existing holders with a 1 to 1 stock holding in the new coy at the strike rate of the shares and do a cap raise AND provide a tax free dividend from proceeds from the cap raise....
