The Kalgoorlie operation start-up seems likely to be a game-day call. Last chance at the AGM, Amanda offered little or no assurance that KAL was still on schedule; at least that was my distinct impression.
That means they will either complete Kalgoorlie ops during a LAMP shutdown (there will be some turnaround downtime regardless, but there exists the possibility of months of downtime during KAL commissioning) or they will succeed in getting Malaysia to give them a grace period to continue importing ore concentrate (also called "Lanthanum concentrate", which is NOT also a rare earth "carbonate" - or MREC - that is what they will be importing from KAL).
The word "pegs" is not the best, but at least one definition of "success" (continued LAMP operations during KAL project commissioning in the event of a deadline miss) entails a "dependency" on a "Malay government reprieve".
