squidd - what i am saying is that the timeline announced in late march / early april for finalising a strategic partner was unrealistic - even misleading. they would have known perfectly well that serious commercial negotiations could not occur until potential partners had time to digest & do due diligence on the dfs report, plus site visits etc, and that once a dfs report was available other potential partners might show an interest (such as the 'new' potential partner in may).
it was extremely unrealistic to assume that strategic partner negotiations could be finalised within 12 weeks of release of the dfs...anybody with half a brain could tell you that 12 weeks is not enough time for a potential stategic partner to do satisfactory due diligence for a multi billion dollar commitment - let alone the time then needed to negotiate a commercial outcome
interesting that they are only now at the stage of 'preferred partners' and detailed commercial negotiations. 6 months minimum. probably longer.
