There has been lots of valuable information, discussion and comment on the HZN PNG bribery/shakedown scandal on other threads, and this will continue and I don't want to disrupt that, BUT I do have a separate but related question (actually 2) which I think is relevant for our future, and so warrants a separate thread.
1. Who leaked the info to the AFR? Forgive me if I have missed this important info., but I seem to recall that it has been suggested somewhere that it is a HZN insider but I can't find reference. Can any member help with this question please?
2. Why was it leaked?

Just to explain my interest as a holder, there are several different scenarios that could play out depending on answers to Q1 and Q2.
eg 1. A: HZN insider 2. A: whistleblower protection to avoid jail time Strategic consequence for HZN and its shareholders - we just need to struggle though as evidence arises
eg 1. A: PNG government insider 2. A: get at Minister Duma Strategic consequence for HZN and its shareholders - we just need to struggle though as evidence arises, and hope we retain our PNG holdings
eg 1. A: someone with connections to another oil company 2. A: get at HZN Strategic consequence for HZN and its shareholders - we need to struggle though, and hope our PNG holdings aren't allocated to others, and that HZN assets (or the whole company) is not taken over cheaply
