Chemeq acts on results of strategic review

Chemeq Ltd (ASX code: CMQ) today announced the results of a review of
the company's long-term strategy.
The board has decided that Chemeq will:
* focus on core competencies in R&D, intellectual property (IP)
development, patenting, product approvals and managing new product
commercialisation;
* seek to pursue further commercialisation of its IP and
products through strategic partnerships, including utilising contract
manufacturing and strategic joint ventures where appropriate;
* adopt a far more targeted and focused sales approach to
market entry. As part of this, the company will look to compile more
detailed data of its products' application to various specific diseases;
* commence an intensive pursuit of US and European product
registrations to match the company's new marketing approach; and
* implement initiatives to reduce cash burn, such as moving out
of the leased office space at Bentley to the company-owned facility at
Rockingham.
The announcement was made after the close of trading.
Shares in Chemeq rose 0.5c to 32.5c today.
