Don't u just love a bargain. Yep it was $260m and for, wait for it, a company whose sales have declined for each of the past three years. Down 15.4% on 2000 revenues and now for the big one....drum roll.... Butler made an EBIT loss last year.
Just the sort of company one should buy, an ailing old (in Butlers case pretty old) out fit that is down on its heels and more than likely heading for the knackers yard.
When BSL sold out of coatings and building products 2 -3 years ago they sold $500m of assets for <$300m. Wonder how big a bath they are going to take this time? Turkeys.
