You don't need industrial scale CSG development to fuel up small scale gas peaking powergen ... I suspect something as few as 10 CSG wells would suffice for 5-10 MW or perhaps 1-2 conventional gas wells ... that's the shared compromise I am pushing for given the region would end up with one of the lowest carbon footprint regional energy systems in the world without any major compromise in continuity and amenity of service ... the NSW government gets to save face having brokered a serious compromise for environmental and carbon reduction kudos and greatly mitigated perceptions that NSW represents significant sovereign risk ... it won't help if green activists continue to misrepresent actual, factual circumstances.
