My price sources are not from MDL and should be reliable. On the figures I have, the January chloride slag price is 9% above the average 2015 price. The sulphate ilmenite (not slag) price in January was 30% down on the average 2015 price and still under pressure. That will really hurt producers that are selling large amounts of sulphate ilmenite. The revenue estimate are my own and are best case estimates.
I strongly agree with your comment on the untold part of the story. Despite that, I think there is a case for optimism after a grim year. The market seems to be currently working in MDL's favour.
