    If your strategy was viable, then *every* owner of 1,000,000 CVI shares ought to be able to make $1 million dollars.

    This means that the market cap for CVI will have to increase from the current $74 million to $550 million. This of course requires that CVI is a real business.

    If CVI is not 'real', your objective of making $1 million will require other traders to make commensurate losses.
    The problem arises when those *other* shareholders also share your objective of making $1 million from CVI at a time when the market cap of CVI stays at it's current level (heaven forbid if it actually falls).
