Stratigraphic potential in the Odin-Vali area

To VEN & MEL shareholders,

Little has been mentioned as yetby either VEN or MEL’s management regarding the potential of the very likelystratigraphic trapping mechanism existing in the Odin-Vali area. This specifically relates to the interpreted gas pay in the Patchawarra Fm. in Strathmount-1 (off structure), Kinta-1 (appears on the edge of mapped structural closure) and the intersected gas columns in Vali-1, Vali-2 & Odin-1 being significantly greater than the mapped closures at the Patchawarra Fm. VC50 Coal horizon and by inference(through seismic) at the Top Patchawarra Fm. level.

A number of ASX releases, by bothcompanies, mention in passing the potential stratigraphic upside. IMO the potential exists for this to be material withrespect to the volumes currently being delineated in the structural closures atVali & Odin.

I have put together a few slidesthat hopefully capture the potential that IMO could exist in the Odin-Vali areawith respect to potential stratigraphic trapping of gas in the Patchawarra Fm.

In Strathmount-1 and Kinta-1 theTollachee Fm, is also mentioned as having interpreted gas pay – I’m not surehow this fits into the tectonostratigraphic framework but obviously furtherupside again!!
