Makes sense, quackmeup.
But SA Labor govt challenged fed Libs on uranium waste and won, so would make it difficult for them to say they can't challenge the fed Labor party policy - assuming they ever get around to changing the current policy, that is.
And that's not a foregone conclusion considering Beazley opposes anything where he thinks he might get some political advantage (by appealling to ignorance and fear of uranium). And then there's Garrett, their environment spokesperson, who's already come out on the accepted greenie line against anything to do with uranium.
Pity, because I like SMM (who wouldn't?), but I think NT uranium options (CMR? ARU?) are the most likely contenders for next U mine in Oz.
God damn! I hate being in this position where I favor the Libs policy over Labor. No fun being a uranium supporting leftie in the current political climate in Oz!
