re: iin takeover IIN would also be a good fit for another mid-tier provider who didn't want to do the DSLAM rollout themselves - or perhaps someone with different but complementary products like a mobile operator. IIN aren't shy of doing the acquiring themselves either.

You can't rule TLS out entirely though. The politics and the currently dire share price may mean the government has to untie its hands at some point.

All pure speculation but its definitely time for some consolidation in the industry so watch this space imo...
