STRIKE ON SHAREHOLDER BEHALF. End the Manipulation, page-9

Quick look at the ongoing manipulation of CUV by short sellers. At this point striking on shareholder behalf - as Clinuvel stated they would - would be much easier than filling in the paperwork to award shares to themselves. Splashes on share grants is pretty much the opposite of a share buyback and is all we have seen from the company on this front this year while those who gamble against the company are given free reign to do as they please.

This last month from 14th April there have only been about 1 Million CUV share trades and my opinion is most of this is just purely churn, circular type trades meaning the actual number of shares changing hands is probably just a small fraction of that amount. Shorters have allowed the share price to go from $10.6 one month back to $11.32 yesterday but it is tightly kept under control. Open shorts, or fake sell liquidity, have increased by about 35000 shares in the days ASIC data is available since 14th April. So a pretty uneventful month, basically those who gamble against the company allowed to do as they please. What would 200000 or so real shares bought and deleted by the buyback do? At least we would have the benefit of permanently increased EPS and the gratitude that the company was striking on shareholder behalf finally after all their strong words. Clearly we don't have this.

Longer term we can see the trend in shorting CUV has been a massive increase since August 2023 when Clinuvel presented excellent full year financial results (and financials have grown even stronger since then). Back about 18 months ago in Aug 2023 shorting stood at about 3% while today it close to double that figure at 5.79% and this is following a substantial drop in shorts on 28th Feb 25 when possibly the 'forced seller' (some say WB??) exited and shorts went from 7.38% to 5.74% on that huge volume day. Interestingly shorts really wanted to buy as many shares as possible when they can but otherwise they just want to control the price and will short Sell to destroy sentiment and maintain their artificial market on every other day which is an obvious deterrent to new investors. This is pretty obvious market manipulation in my opinion and I just don't get why Clinuvel don't protect shareholder interests in this regard. At least do the buyback as it was stated they would and as any other company which announces a buyback does. Who cares if shorters don't allow the price to appreciate because at least shareholders will see an effort being made on their behalf for once and will get 1.5 Million less CUV to share great profits amongst. Awarding shares to themselves (while they may be well deserved) is a slap in the face to shareholders when they were told very strongly that the company would strike on their behalf and carry out a 1.5 Million share buyback. Removing those shares will make a real difference for shareholders and will only use less than 10% of massive shareholder cash reserves of $200+ Million so there will be ample remaining cash for any contingencies or soirees or whatever.
