Mate, I spent about 22,000 hours of my life sitting between four turbines, two on each side, driving them. First the JT3D, then the JT9D, then the RB211 [the real ones, not your toy plane engine or whatever it is you play with down at the park] then the CF6. And about 3500 more hours on many types of Continental and Lycoming engines,. and P&W twin wasps and Rolls Royce Speys.
