Here's John Foley lifting our spirits in the chairman's address to the 2006 annual report.

"This coming year we are targeting full production at Warrior Gold Mine at the rate of 40,000 ounces per year and the commencement of development work on the second phase of the Charters Towers Gold Project,which will take the production rate to 120,000 ounces per year. Later phases will build production to 250,000 ounces per year"

This coming year', so that would be 2007 in which we should have seen 40,000 ozs produced? no, since he's said 'rate', we've learned that can mean almost anyrthing. But surely at least 10,000 ozs in the Dec Quarter of 2007?

"The Charters Towers underground gold mine, is currently working the east-west trending Warrior reef. This coming year we are working to build up the gold production rate towards our initial goal of 100,000 ounces a year."
