That is me. Just a punter.

I use the announcements, insight from HC posters, Barcharts, Both American and Aussiebulls, candlesticks, and the usual charting stuff. MACD, stochs, volume, OBV, RSI, etc.

I have found that Louise Bedford's "the secret of candlestick charting" very helpful for my simple mind.

A read up on Fibonacci is good to understand how the public psyche allows algorithmic trading to flourish. I have been unable to afford these sophisticated tools. On charts Fibonacci levels would be helpful as well.

Basically, all of this is free. There is a saying "information is only as good as its price." LOL

ps. The price of trades is an inhibiter for the 'punter' as the market has institutions that trade multiiples for miniscule amounts compared to us.
