    I agree with everything you have said.

    As an IT professional do you think is it possible for the content holders to protect their sold rights to markets by having the local providers block the export to overseas IP addresses. So if I sell streaming in the US under my contract with a content provider I cant stream to Australia.

    I know that tech savvy operators can get around this sort of thing.

    A lot of people are talking about google TV and others being big players that come in and kill the market worldwide by virtue of their size.

    Content owners would loose out as they would earn more by selling the same content to different markets rather than the to one global player, I assume. I am happy to be corrected on this.

    I am not familiar how the movement of payments work in the background of this and the TV industry.

    If there is anyone out there that can clarify this could you share.

    Content is king and this is what people are buying. Platforms and delivery systems are nice but not thing driving the consumer IMO.
