I have Chartered Financial Analyst related qualifications but I don't work for IBs , would you trust my analysis then? Some of the brokerage houses analysts haven't even started their CFA exams...
My point is that as long as someone could develop financial models of valuation and then calculate profits and then make a financial recommendation, then they would make a good analyst.
