Goodman Group leased 99% of their occupancies, while the competitors built the same amount of space as Goodman in Western Syd. The amount leased of the competitors space is not disclosed in the article. The message is that Goodman owns 50% of all new industrial space built in 2009 in W. Syd. Goodman has the newest stock and it is all leased. The competitors all have old stock or a slice of some of the new stock. GMG is a very large and successful REIT!

Goodman Group GM for Australia, Jason Little, has highlighted the strength of the company's $A1.65bn Western Sydney portfolio
. Little said the group leased more than 100,000 square metres of space in the six months to June 2010, taking its occupancy rate to around 99%. CB Richard Ellis said just 200,000 sqm of industrial space was built in 2009.
