It does not matter what strategy you use as long as it works for "you" and what you said perfectly made sense and seems to work fine for you.
To ride the trades/wave till the end requires lots of conviction and courage and I will only do that when there is a Technical and a Fundamental shift.
I can still see this trade right now on TLS and the risk is always bigger with this type of trade and those who took profit today are safe and money in the bank is real cash.
My profit is only a paper profit and means nothing till I take it..........what happens if DOW drops 1000 points tonight ??
To ride a trade and increase long or short when the market and trend confirm can produce a massive 6 figure profit and traders only need to profit a few times from these trades to make a huge difference to their bottom line at the end of the year.
Scalping is fun !!
Ultimately there is no wrong or right with any system as everyone is different in their experience, capital and risk profile and goal.
