Wrong Wrong Wrong.... DB cant buy stock for BHP at more than the offer price of $7.85.. it is against ASX rules!
The 93.44M DB has is for themselves and/or their clients...not even for RIO... as that would have to have been declared at 5%...they simply have almost a 10% blocking stake which puts them in a very powerfull negotiating position... the fireworks in this takeover is only just beggining.. forget the 5 months involving Xstrata, that was only the entree!
RIO is a great company...take my advice ..let RIO go as high as you're comfortable with and buy some puts.
