Yes, you are right i did in fact get my fuel cells mixed up. My bad.
But having said that, the internal reformer they have within the CFCL fuel cell only has to produce a small amount of H2, and the car companies found that if they had onboard reformer that it added increasingly to the weight of the car; because I dare say because they have to output a larger amount of H2 to produce more kW of power, the likes of 100-200kW. whereas the CFCL fuel cell is only producing 1.5-2kW.
hey, don't get me wrong, I would love this technology in all cars, and i used to be a big advocate for fuel cell cars, but it is something that is not feasible yet. I think there are better alternatives out there, ie, electric, gas/hybrid, diesel/hybrid, compressed air etc etc...
