PERTH, April 2 AAP - Junior explorer Tantalum Australia NL
thinks it has found a new gold discovery at its Hope River prospect
in Western Australia.
The Perth company told the market today drilling results from
the prospect, 50km from Meekatharra, indicate a zone of ore
containing gold in potentially economic quantities.
Tantalum says that while the grade of gold mineralisation is low
- one drill sample contained 10 metres at just 1.3 grams per tonne
gold - it appeared significant.
While little drilling has been done, and
the entire zone is
buried beneath 10 or 20 metres of cover, the size of the patch made
it significant, the company said.
