I think giz was referring to net asset? A millionaire has 80%property+land / 20% stock split. $50k = 5% of his/her total worth, but is 25% of the stock portfolio.
Diversification at asset level is a must for me, but Im a little addicted to stocks, especially so after a good run of months.
this is where missus comes in handy. While I was still sober, we made a in-house rule. I ask her to nag me everyday for at least one hour if Im reluctant to pull profits out after a good month or qtr, depending on the dollar amounts made in the timeframe.
was hard to do in the beginning as there was nowhere else Id rather have my cash in, but after a while, one realizes just how much is enough really......
