The money we make from the woofers is based on other people losing money. I remember a guy last year or the year before lost $75,000 following the daytraders thread, and the STT thread too I think. Sure, I follow tips in the STT, but I know my win means another's loss, and most of us are not making the glamorous returns claimed here. Or are we all selling at the top to the invisible man? Perhaps we are - most people here use fake names after all.
As Giz said, 99% of these stocks are woofers. There are a limited number of stocks on the ASX. How many have been tipped? How long can the STT go for before it's just recycling woofers? But that's all fine if we need the money to survive. As Timbo said, it's a jungle.
