Interesting and highly probable. I thought the Voyager analogy before it surfaced in the show. The latest 10-12k year time for humans doesn't seem feasible when you consider 65 million years dinosaurs extint.Humans one million years ago with a cataclysm right on the money. Just need to refer to supernova and the evidence is more than plausible. Rinse and repeat could have occured several times over with different levels of technology achieved.
