There was one day of 39 and the following day was 40 (in my area). I play snooker with an older gentleman and he still works a physically demanding job outside and he definitely suffered during those two hot days here along with his workmates. Those two days were not long enough for me, I love the heat. 30 years in the Pilbara/Gascoyne does that to someone. One day around xmas/new year time we got to a maximum of 1 degree. First time I have seen white grass or ice puddles. I looked at the temperature on that day of one of my recent haunts back in WA and it was 50+ something.
