    There is a limit to the size of wind turbines, firstly, having things like cranes big enough to erect them....then, the effect of diminished returns. As the size of the blades increase, so does the speed at the outer edge. A consequence is erosion of the blade leading edge from water and dust. So, they have to turn slower, diminishing the the whole point of being bigger
