Ah we already have two topics for discussion... I am obviously late I think... but I was thinking something else to discuss and that is tax loss selling opportunities...
Last couple of years, I picked some very nice winners as a result of tax loss selling. And I have picked few more this year... results yet to be known of course but they are looking nice.
Re : SMSF... I guess I am not ready yet due to my speculative nature... but I don't want to make 5% each year but keeping it in the hands of managed funds either.. so I have found another way... Which is DIY super... few funds are offering that now... you can trade short term but you can only buy amongst the top 300 and not more than 20% in one stock... target is 20% per year with average trade making 30% so far working really good.
