I like the idea of a position sizing discussion. I regularly hear people say no more than 10% into one stock. I know everyone is different. For someone such as myself, I hit a bit of strife last year with real estate and used my trading money to soften the blow, so now I'm trading with essentially F all.
Postion sizing is rather a delicate thing for me. Too small a position and if the profits aren't large Brokerage almost kills it. Too large a position and if it turns to shit it hurts my capital. Right now, my profits are just covering my losses, and I'm quite happy with that as it's giving me alot of education in the game and helping me refining my skills.
Rather than top up I'm determined to make it work with what I've got left. But obviously I can't follow position sizing rules that might work for most.
Cheers
