Like my buyback plays Kanga, worth the time and strategy is time proven and like the idea of trading technicalities to improve certainty of outcomes, bit like a 'short squeeze on valium" kinda sorta thing.
Last was PRN, frank has been all over it from the log but he seems to be just holding now benefiting from couple of FA contract anns which seem to have caused a re rate.
We also benefited from S32 recently off current lows but out now, whether that was a buy back play or just an oversold commodity sector play in and environment of a weakening DXY open to question, anyway profit been banked.
Nothing on radar now but if I hear will mention here, my investment group a great source, have a few buyback demons on board, always on the lookout at small cap end.
The ASX is moving to buybacks over increasing one off special dividends as it's preferred method of returning capital to shareholders, was running at $40 billion over last 3 years last time I looked, we seem to be mimicking the yanks, they historically love a good BB over increased yield. With the number of people directly involved in share trading now makes sense, lot of small retail positions where yields are not the reason for exposure but appreciation of SP, the trend of increasing preference of BB's should continue.
You would be crazy not at least to entertain the BB strategy especially for STT, in saying that the BB must be at least 5% of capital and FA good.
Nah the BH is a keeper in my eyes, the post in reference to how she would answer that question if the subject was I, the post might have been misinterpreted, just my sense of humour.
Bloody freezing west of divide, lay day to catch up on emails etc.
