I love Istanbul As a lover of art and architecture it's just beautiful, cruising up the Bosphorus, the undercurrents in the grand Bazaar, the food! The misogynism! Not a woman to be seen serving in restaurants.
I love Moorish architecture, so loved Cordoba in Southern Spain as well. Seville is beautiful, just staying in one of those gorgeous courtyard apartments and hanging out in the market. and Goya! Barcelona for Anton Gaudi, the museum of prohibited art is there if you like to be challenged! Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Basque community of Northern Spain. Bilbao has the Frank Gehry designed Guggenheim, It has one of Louise Bourgeois's Maman pieces.
Siena is so beautiful, who doesn't love Tuscany.
Loved hanging around in the Dodecanese. catching whichever ferry turned up to whichever island it went to..going with the slow flow of Greek standard time.
Prague is on my bucket list, Art Nouveau architecture at it's finest.
