The thing when he mentions not paying off debt as well it will inflate away as well over time .
My mum mentioned this to me once many years ago when we bought a property that we should go higher up in the market than we could afford as that's what would happen eventually .
We didn't but we did well off the property when the cyclical boom come about in property at the time .
We were wanting to pay it off as quick as possible an not upset our lifestyle to much with the partner i had at the time .
