Hi Guys,
I've been posting very litte of late, been a bit tired actually. Happy to read but didn't feel like posting until now.
Firstly on a charting level (which I do not pretend to know as well as other people) it looks good, damned good.
One short-term negative is the Bollingers are opening out which to me usually means a bit of sideways movement but the MACD daily is positive thanks to the green line rising up and crossing the red line (see how technical my understanding is).
The Slow Stochastic daily is in a mature positive position which to me supports the Bollingers indication of a bit of the old sideways movement.
The daily RSI is starting to touch the 80% line which (again) suggests we will consolidate for a little while, maybe 3 or 4 trading days.
That's all short term stuff. Only of interest to the T+3 guys who measure their profits in hundreds of dollars, sometimes in thousands, rarely in tens or hundreds of thousands but certainly not in millions of dollars (as long termers do).
The weekly charts are showing a classic Weinstein move. The 30 week MA is rising with all the weekly action above that line. It is hard to judge the volumes as the RIO buy up of RAB shares creates a spike on my chart which dwarfs all else BUT I know from observation that volumes are well up, thus supporting the Weinstein break-out.
Don't underestimate the attraction of these weekly charts to technical traders out there. These guys are looking for a combination of rising 30WMA, rising weekly volume all following a year or more of consolidation coupled with blue-sky territory.
They are not finding much out there at the moment. EXT's chart will be like a beacon to these guys so they will be converging on this stock, some are here now and more are coming, make no mistake.
The problem for them is of course that we are not selling (at least I am not). I am not selling because not only is the chart telling me not to but WAY MORE IMPORTANTLY fundamentally this is about EXPLODE!!!.
Let's examine this battle of the titans we are watching as I type.
I believe what we are seeing is a battle for control between two camps driven by philosophical differences. They are diametrically opposed on how to make the most of this extraordinary, once-in-many-decades, discovery.
One camp, (Peter Mac and Steve Sikirich) can see that a JV with RIO will yield many multiples of an immediate take-over.
They know that the cashflow over the next two to three decades will dwarf any lump sum we can extract (hee hee) from big boys today.
I tend to agree with them. I like the idea of fully-franked dividends increasing with the years as demand for Uranium grows and contract prices grow. In that scenario I won't pay all that much tax and the cash flow will service loans on other investments.
In my opinion, I will make about 20-30 times as much with a JV as I will with a quick sale but it will span the rest of my life.
The second camp, (Dattels and Stalker - don't include Hohnen, he's just a puppet) are masters at taking an asset, making it look very pretty and putting a for-sale sign on it.
These guys will get a lot of money for an asset. This asset is WAY WAY better than the Uramin one they sold last time.
The problem is that the times they are a changing and what they will get now is less than they will get in a few years time. They won't wait years though, they want it now, ASAP.
For myself and my wonderful friends (we who have held this stock since it was a mewing baby in our arms) we are in the glorious position that the fork in the road leads down two paths, each of which makes us wealthier, much wealthier, MUCH MUCH wealthier.
We cannot do much to influence the final result, our votes count for little compared to the KAH vote. I take the view that maybe one way is better than the other but either way is pretty fantastic.
