You guys with your anguish about interest rates. Did you know this is a false argument? If you have high interest rates you have high inflation. If you have high inflation, 5 years later your home loan (even if you pay interest only) is HALF what it was in real terms. Conclusion - High interest rates force you to pay your loan off quick......that is all. On your other poorly thought through topic; Home owners grants of 14,000 just drive up house prices by 14,000. Sorry Oldies, but stop irritating your kids with this "I had it tough" tripe......it is demoralising and WRONG.
