Why not send it east in a land based, public owned pipeline via NT and QLD, feeding the North with opportunities and the east coast.
All the ships and on-goings and load and un-load infrastructure, the land, etc, would have to cost more than a pipeline etc corridor thru a largley stable, predictable landscape.
If some people think an extension cord to Singapore is a good idea, why not a hose to Rockhampton, Townsville?
