To be fair, the size of a person's position doesn't dictate how right or wrong they are. They are a million ways to trade the market. Across a wider timeline, it is possible for different views to be correct. ie. A stock may fall in the short term due to negative sentiment but rise in the longer term due to new developments.

Also, we all have to start somewhere. I remember buying my first parcel of Hardman for 8k in 1997. That was my first year at work and represented nearly 1/4 of my annual gross salary. 8k doesn't sound like much but it was a huge bet for me at the time. I was still cutting my teeth then, so I could afford to take that risk.
