I believe that to learn you must also teach and from teaching we can continue to learn. As part of my need to learn I last year read the transcript of an interview where Warren Buffet talks about his life and his career. For over an hour he spoke about how as a young man he read every stock market book on the shelf in the Omaha Library, he spoke about the billions of dollars in sales he oversees each and every day and – of course, Technical Analysis.

Throughout the interview Warren talks of how he has spent a lifetime doing what he loves and how he has been fortunate to surround himself with people who bring out the best in him and who he trust. When he speaks about the actual mechanics of the stock market though he laughs about how he knew more at eleven years of age than what he does today and why for that reason he employs people better skilled than he at fundamental and technical analysis so that he may be a better businessman and investor.

I became an owner of a business and I did not care whether a stock went up or down the next day or the next week or the next month or the next year. I didn’t have any idea what it would do.
